Materials:
sz G crochet hook
Worsted weight yarn in the following colors
white, brown, lt pink, dk pink, green, and a small amount of yellow
Chain 26 sts
Row 1: dc in 3rd ch from hook and in each st across (1
ch3 and 23 dc made)
Row 2: ch 3 and turn skip 1st dc and dc in each st across (1 ch 3 and 23 dc made)
Row 3: ch 3 and turn skip next dc, dc in next 3 dcs changing to brown with last dc, with brown, dc in next 18 sts changing back to white with the last stitch, with white dc in next 3 sts.
Row 4: ch 3 and turn skip next dc, dc in next 3 dcs changing to brown with last dc, fpdc in the next 3 dc, bpdc in the next 3 dc, fpdc in the next 3 dc, bpdc in the next 3 dc, fpdc in the next 3 dc, bpdc in the next 3 dc changing back to white with last bpdc, with white dc in next 3 sts.
Row 5: ch 3 and turn skip next dc, dc in next 3 dcs changing to brown with last dc, bpdc in the next 3 dc, fpdc in the next 3 dc, bpdc in the next 3 dc, fpdc in the next 3 dc, bpdc in the next 3 dc, fpdc in the next 3 dc changing back to white with last fpdc, with white dc in next 3 sts.
Row 6: repeat row 4
Row 7: repeat row 5
Row 8: repeat row 4
Row 9: repeat row 5
Rows 10 - 13: ch 3 and turn. dc in next 9 dcs changing to brown with last dc, with brown dc in next 3 dcs changing to white with last dc, with white dc in next 11 dcs.
Rows 14-15: repeat row 2.
Flowers (make 2 lt pink ones and 2 dk pink ones)
ch 3 and sl st to form ring.
Rnd 1: [ch3 sc in ring] 5 times
Rnd 2: [ ch 3 sc in back post of sc of previous rnd] 5 times
Fasten off.
Leaves (make 3)
Rnd 1: ch 6 (working in top of chs) sc in 2nd ch from hook,
hdc in next 2 sts dc in next st 4 dc in next st.
Rnd 2: Working in the bottom of base ch sts (skip the st that
you did the 4 dc in) dc in next st, hdc in next 2 sts, sc in next st, sl
st to first st and fasten off.
Assembly
Using a small amount of yellow yarn, sew the flowers and leaves to
the square at row 9 making a knot of yellow thread for the flower centers.
